Christos Zevos (Bass) – Christos is a multi-instrumentalist, music theorist, and educator with over ten years of experience performing throughout the Greater New England area. In addition to being an accomplished performer on both electric and upright bass, Christos is also an experienced vocalist, guitarist, and violinist who is equally at home in classical, rock, jazz, and folk settings. Some of the groups that Christos performs with regularly include: Ben Rudnick and Friends, the Boston Guitar Orchestra, Veronica Robles and her Mariachi, Luminarium Dance Company, Celtic Knot, Groove Alliance, and Introduction—the Chicago Experience.
Christos received a Bachelors of Music Degree from the Boston Conservatory in 2012, and a Masters of Music Degree from the New England Conservatory in 2014. Currently, he is completing a Doctoral of Music Arts Degree at the New England Conservatory, focusing on theoretical study of electronic dance music. In addition to performing, he also enjoys producing electronic tracks, and experimenting with sound composition and synthesis.
On Chicago: I am a bit late to the game when it comes to the music of Chicago, most of my exposure to the group has been over the last couple years. By approaching Chicago from the perspective of a theorist, I find that their music is a balanced combination of technical prowess, classic formal/harmonic style, and surprise.
